Would this hurt my Porformance??

Well since the headers and all i have gotten a tune from Madz28.com. And that took alot of my codes off but the imfamous service engine light is back on.

Got it scanned and its the front 02's. P1133 & P1153. Would those not working hurt my performance? Also how bad.

I figured his tune really wouldnt work to well unless the 02's were working to give it the right air/fuel readings?

Yes it'll hurt your performance and give you really bad gas mileage.

Re: Would this hurt my Porformance??

damn awlright i figured it would give me bad gas mileage. Hell i had to drive from mineral wells to my house (130 miles) after i got the damn thigns installed without any front o2's lol.

So i guess i've been driving around on these for anywhere from a month to 2 months with bad 02's . Good thing i finally got the computer codes out or i probably wouldnt have noticed.

Do you know how bad it would hurt my performance by chance?? And where can i get some quick 02s? Would auto zone or oriliey ones work fine?

I think you're only supposed to use GM 02's... www.gmpartsdirect.com or try the stealership. You said you were in a hurry and last time i ordered from gm parts direct, it took over a week for them to ship me my part.

Part number from http://shbox.com/1/Parts.htm is 25312184..

Dont quote me on this, but at wot doesn't the engine run in closed loop and the o2s dont affect wot performance. Im not to sure but maybe injuneer or someone will chime in.

WOT has nothing to do with O2 sensors. It runs in open loop.

Always check to see how much GM Direct is going to charge you for shipping and handling before you decide where to buy. They have a tendancy to rape you on S&H and give you a lower price on the part. Net result might be cheaper or no more expensive than your local vendor or another mail order vendor. JMHO

i'm pretty sure your motor will still be pulling timing out even at WOT due to the 02's not working, could be wrong tho

Re: Would this hurt my Porformance??

don't buy the bosch o2's I went through 2 sets of them after my header install. the car would run terrible and i kept getting a code for slow response. I finally bought a set of delcos and have never had a problem since.
