Would a exhaust cutout leak when closed?

Ok, I am looking into getting an exhaust cutout pretty quick. I was just wondering if i were to buy an exhaust cutout like one of these: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...tem=2438498544

that it may leak where it clamps back onto the piping?

Also, i have a stock exhaust so my exhaust should be a 3" exhaust right?

One final question. Can i hook up a electric cutout to this later on down the road?

Thanks

If you're talking about the cap that shuts the cutout, it shouldn't leak. If you talking about where it joins the cars exhaust system, it shouldn't leak (don't clamp it on, get it welded in). The stock exhaust is something like 2 1/2" not 3, but don't worry it can be welded in with no problem. My cutout (3") welded into the stock intermediate pipe. Also, don't buy it off ebay (look at the price), you can get it cheaper at LS1speed.com , not to mention it won't cost you $15 in shipping (shipping rates on ebay are bs). Hooking up an electric cutout down the road will be no problem. One suggestion, when you get the cutout welded in, have them tilt it so the outlet dumps toward the passenger side of the car so you won't lose any ground clearance.

BlakeW5,
Wow, that was the best reply post i have ever gotten. Thanks for suggesting me to not buy off ebay. Bad memories on ebay.
Yeah, I will have it welded in.
So i should put it before the catalytic converter?

Thanks Again.
