Would a deleted TUNE cause heater problems?! ---
During the summer I got my car tuned and had ALL the emissions stuff deleted. This winter , my car is acting funny when the heater is on. Maybe its just about time for a new heater.....but I wanted to ask you guys first.
The car runs normal UNTIL the second I turn the heater on ( and acts messed up even after I turn it off ). It is "droning" a different exhaust tune and idles rougher (from the inside "feel") .... and outside I almost thought I broke something in the upper drivetrain ... its like a slight clanging sound (something small and metal being thrown around a plastic box).
I would hate to do ANY modding before I do my le2 rebuild ... but would also hate to be on the side of the road when its snowing
.
It drives great/normal when the rpms are around 1800 + . Thanks for the time/help

When the heater is on bi-level or defrost the A/C compressor will be activated.
While tuning for a bigger camshaft the IAC counts will need to be increased to let the car idle with the A/C compressor activated. If these changes are not made the car may have a difficult time idling.
