Which would be the best way to go?
I wouldn't do the LT4 kit. Too much money. If you port the LT1 heads, they will flow well enough to feed a street engine, plus you save a few bucks. The hot cam on a 350 is nice, but (in my opinion) too small for a 383/396.
Oh, and the only real costs involved in building a forged 383/396 over building a forged 350 is the added expense of having the block clearanced. So it's not that much more expensive.

Ok so I will actually need more than 6k to rebuild me engine to 383? I do have a 52mm throttle body and headers with a CAI. I have a friend that said he could build me a 383 easly for 3k and put it in my car with everything to keep it safe. Would that be the way to go? He works at a shop in houston.
