Agreed with above poster, you'll get some serious gains and go through half the trouble of installing a blower. Not sure about stroking, don't know how much work is involved in that.

 

I wouldn't do the LT4 kit. Too much money. If you port the LT1 heads, they will flow well enough to feed a street engine, plus you save a few bucks. The hot cam on a 350 is nice, but (in my opinion) too small for a 383/396.

Oh, and the only real costs involved in building a forged 383/396 over building a forged 350 is the added expense of having the block clearanced. So it's not that much more expensive.

 

Ok so I will actually need more than 6k to rebuild me engine to 383? I do have a 52mm throttle body and headers with a CAI. I have a friend that said he could build me a 383 easly for 3k and put it in my car with everything to keep it safe. Would that be the way to go? He works at a shop in houston.

 

I doubt its all forged internals...but then if you're not running N20 maybe you can get away with doing it for 3G's...

 

Yea not looking to run NOZ though it any ways.

 

Spend a little extra and get forged pistons if nothing else, they are relatively cheap insurance.
