would afpr = better gas mileage?

On ws6.com they installed an AFPR, gained 13-16 hp, and decreased the psi from 46 to 36...although he also states that the computer adjusted at part throttle and added injector pulsewidth to compensate and hp fell back to where he started from...

Would lowering the psi lead to better gas mileage?

It will compensate for up to 25%, so with that decrease in presure you would be right around that limit not aloowing any other adjustment to be made. Thats not a good place to be.

Why would you risk running lean to gain a few HP/ MPG's? The right way to go about doing this is to tune the car to run a little leaner at WOT.
