WOT, now ticks and misses bad.

Went WOT on the xway, then it started ticking and missing, and sounded like an old truck. Limped home and shut off. I had an SES for a bad driver's side O2 harness. So replaced the plugs on that side and the extension. Still has the ticking and missing bad. When very cold last week, I tried again and startup, 30*, ticking was barely noticable, but still missing. As it got some temp in it it began to get even louder, back to original loudness. Sounds louder on pass side.

So what am I looking at here, loose rocker, bad lifter, bad pass side plug, other? Just need to know the best place to start.

deffinitely sounds like an exhaust leak and which would cause the o2's to get false readings and cause loss of power look for loose exhaust bolts or damaged exhaust gasket. it will be somewhere between the o2 and engine nothing after the o2 will cause a light. good luck

80 psi cold start, 50 or so cruising highway, 30-35 hot idle.
Installed a new Melling 10%HV pump at the same time I did the heads, lifters, TrickFlow chromoly pushrods, 1.7RR, headers last summer. Oil pressure hasn't gone down even a tad since this.

Isolate the noise and look under the valve cover if you need to.

Didn't get a chance to check it tonight unfortunately. I'm not sure what kind of valve springs are on it, they came with the stage 2 ported heads that I purchased, that's the one question I forgot to ask the seller about them. I know they are double valve springs and had red paint or marks on them. I would hope it's not a broken spring with the stock cam and 1.7RR.

Pulled the valve covers and the problem was very obvious. The #2 cylinder intake rocker was extremely loose! The poly lock was halfway up the threads loose. All of the other valves appear to be ok and tight.
