WOT...Engine sounds like it wants to stall??

WOT...Engine sounds like it wants to stall??
OK - I need some help to figure out why:
1) When the A/C is on, and I am at a stop, I floor it (WOT) and it hesitates, sounds like it wants to stall then it kicks in and throws me in my seat.
2) When A/C is not on, still hesitates but very shortly.
3) When A/C is on and I am going 35+mph - I floor it and little hesitation but then it kicks in.
4) A/C off and going 35+mph - Floor it and it goes full force.
140,000 miles, Auto -
What can I do to give me the power I am loosing with A/C and/or under 30 mph????

Have your car scanned; you might have knock retard. The AC system puts a higher load on your engine; the computer turns off the AC compressor during WOT but it will take a second or 2 to shut it off.
