Is it worth putting SFC's on a hard top?

however, are the bolt-on SFC's any better than the weld-in ones?
if not i think i will get the tubular bolt-ons, but want to know as much as possible first.
thanks

I have the bolt-on SLP type and they are good to go. As for the weld on type be stronger, this is true but you can also weld in the bolt on type and keep the bolt on and it is just as strong or stronger. I just like the fact that if I ever need to take them off I can and it is not big deal. I have had them on for about 3 or 4 years now (it has been a while) and have had no problems. The car is so tight now that when I jack the car up on all 4's the rear will carry the opposite side, without a jack under it and I have to put some wood spacers so the entire car is on all jackstands.
I have a convert...i think the sfc's will really help me right? Even though GM put some stamped sheet metal down below.
Is it really necessary to have double diamonds? Or will BMR's help me just fine.

Actually, it's pushing the passenger side rear wheel up into the wheel well. Time for an air bag, I guess.

I could tell imediatly after installing my SFCs on my H/T. Car leaves the line straighter. I am not pulling the wheels like Frank here...Then again I am going faster and click the scales at 3,750
One of the reasons it appears i am not pulling the one front wheel is the car is tied together well for the power level I am at. My car tries to yank both wheels at the same time and not just one.
I installed my SFCs back in 99 after ripping two body seems apart lauching the car. I heard to Loud POPs on a particularly hard lauch. a week later I came out to drive the car after it had rained and the car had three inches of water in it
To me they are worth it.
