Ok guys i need some advice... Mechanic called me and told me i snapped a push rod in half and i shattered somethin else inside the valve... cant remember what he said it was.. but he said the Heads were fine... So he is about to pull the engine and make sure there is no damage to the cam or anything else... SOOO... 1.is this worth fixing? and 2.while he has the engine out is there anything i should have him replace anyways?
any input would be appreciated..

I just did the engine rebuild by my self (with may father to be hones). All the parts cost me $900 including aftermarket parts and all gaskets (lightweight pistons/rings/bearings + LT4 hot Cam kit + MAC shorty headers). I think that for complete rebuild and other stuff $900 is great price.
Cam kit (cam, springs, 1.6rr) can give you up to about 35-55hp. The cheapest cam kit is Hot Cam (about $470), it is nice cam for stock heads and is very
