Worth it to do K-member before headers?

I AutoX my car a lot, and will be doing road racing as well, so some time in the future, I will be getting an aftermarket K-member for the obvious front end weight savings and all that extra work room.

My question is, I'll be getting a set of 94-95 style Mac headers shortly, and I want to know if its worth it to pick up a K-member first. For those who have done it, did having an aftermarket K-member make the header install that much easier? Or should I just wait on the K-member and concentrate on getting the headers on (finally) ?

Money is a bit tight, but if its really worth it, I can wait on the headers until I have the cash for the K. I have read that the MAC install inst all that bad.

All opinions welcome, but especially guys who hav installed mid-lengths on a car w/ an aftermarket K-member.

Thanks

Yeah, I'd go with headders. I've always heard that mids are soooo much easier than LT's anyway. You'll like the extra power.

I would just get the headers on for now. Unless you have the extra money laying around.

A seperate question though that i have is i have hooker LTs with a leaking slip fit tube. I wanna get it welded together but then i hear it would be very hard to put them back in welded together. But if i have a BMR k-member would it be easy to get it in if its welded?

Make sure the macs will fit the k-member. I had a set og SLP shortie headers and they did not fit the BMR K-member. Thye driver side header was hitting the motor mount bracket. I had to get a set of Jet-Hot Long tubes.
