Is this worth $1500?

Lt1 heads with new bigger 2.02 Int. and 1.55 Exh. valves. Slightly ported.
Used Hot cam kit. Includes: Springs, Cam and 1.6 Roller rockers.
Used Edelbrock shorty headers with emmission adapters.
Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks in advance

Absolutely Not.

Used Edelbrocks - $150
Used Hotcam Kit - $300
Used heads with different valves and little head work - $200

I'd offer about $600 for that.

I agree, the price for all of that is way too high. If you shop around some more, you will see that you can piece all of that same stuff together for alot cheaper.

Isnt an LE2 like $1650 or something and your talking SWEET LT1 heads with Awesome springs, studs, Ferra Valves, and a damn good Bret Bauer camshaft. Plus youd be making an extra 60rwhp over the Hotcam.

Not to mention you can get a complete LE1 kit for a little over a grand that will put up better numbers as well. When this guy mentions the heads are ported, you don't know if they are professionally done or if they were done by Joe Smoe in his garage with a die grinder.

From what I have learned if someone hasnt had the heads ported by a reputable LT1/LT4 Company then its not worth even thinking about investing in them. Same with built 4L60E's.

Depends entirely on what "slightly ported" means. Also depends on how many miles on everything.

Even if they were listed as full race ported I'd still be skeptical. Who does the work is worth more to me than how they want to describe it.

You can get LE1 heads for 850$. Used LT4 hot cam kit for 300$ and some shorties from the for sale section for around 250$. 1400$ for real heads is what i'd go for.

Thanks. I was just curious. I know that there is $700 dollars already put into the heads. The reason that I say this is these parts belong to me and I was curious on what they were worth. Thanks for everybodys help. The heads actually look pretty good. They have been gasket matched and all the machinist did was clean up the area behind the valves and the ports. Thanks again for your opinions

How it performs is more important to me than who did it.

The person who did them only becomes reputable by how it performs. AI, LE, Lingenfelter, MTI, etc.

$200 for cores? My LT1 came with them for free.
