Worth the $ for O Ring?

Worth the $ for O Ring?
My new 383 Supercharged motor has a problem of blowing head gaskets. I called a local (VERY GOOD) Machine shop and they quoted me $200 to O ring the heads. I was planning on using copper gaskets? Just wondering if this is with the money to have done because the 3rd set of gaskets blew and the heads and block are straight and free of cracks. I was also wondering do just the heads need to be cut for o rings or the heads and block?
Thanks
Matt
Thanks

Re: Worth the $ for O Ring?
from what ive heard that is definately the way to go as long as you are sure they will do a great job...as far as i know ud have to do both heads and block so theres a channel the o-ring sits in
id go for it

Heads and block would be better,if ya got room.
Ya make the block such as to fit just outside the ring in the head. Call Fel Pro and get a recommendation on a good head gasket for your application and get the "trick" install method for said gasket.
Use ARP studs and over torque by 10 lb ft with their recommended install and torque procedure and lube.
