is it worht building a 355?
is it worht building a 355?
is it worth build instead of a 383 or a 396. would yo really see much for gains over what you could get from a 350. is it worht building by itself or if i did it would it only be worth it to go blown.

i mean for the difference in price is there going to be a huge difference in power. like comparable builds, i dont want to do a blower or anything i want to go N/A but for the money you save are you going to lose a lot
there are 2 355
1 when you over bore the 350 0.030
2 350 stroked to 355
is worth it or is it better than?
it is better than 350 because rod lenghth and the stroke are differant than the 350 that mean better VE. some pepole build 355 because they stock with some race rules that says no more than 355 SBs so they stoke it t0 355
i guess that the 355 is better reving than the 383 and the 383 is better rever than the 396
I am not sure about my informaitions
about the VE you can ask at the advance tech for that
or may be the hole thread should be moved to it

how do you get a 355 from stroking a 350 lol. only way i know of is a stcok 3.48 stroke with a bore .030
if you are looking for the power gain from that alone, you have the wrong choice. 355,383,396 are usually built to handle boost, juice, or revs. you will not pick up much power in cid alone, power is in heads/cam.

There are several ways to go at this if you're trying to get the most bang for your buck. If you're on a tight budget you can re-use your stock crank and rods and buy some hypereutectic pistons. A good heads/cam combo (with all the bolt-ons) can give you 100hp over stock. That's not too shabby.
Since you're planning to stay NA, you can eliminate the biggest expense most folks encounter with a stroker, which is a forged rotating assembly. You can get a new SCAT 3.75" crank for around $200. And with the proper piston you can use your stock 5.7" rods if you want to. And with this approach you can also forego the expense of converting to splayed 4-bolt main caps. You'll still have some extra machining costs for block clearancing and whatnot, but something like this would give you a nice gain for relatively little cash.
And keep in mind that hp is in the heads/cam, so more cubes alone won't give a huge gain. It's all about the package.
