60' times were still only 1.7x's. It's tough to get these overweight T56 cars off the line.

Get ya a driveline and clutch, pull it to 5000 and sidestep the clutch it will 60' then.
EDIT:Or get on the bumper

I have a pretty good driveline and don't really know what else I would do except step up to a 28" tire and go to 4.88's or 5.13's
Here's my stuff
Mcleod Blowproof Bellhousing
Mcleod softlocl adjustable preload pressure plate
Mcleod Iron disk clutch plate
Viper output T56
Denny's Nitrous ready DS
Spohn Torque arm
Spon LCA's with lowering brackets
Spohn Subframes
Ford 9" w/ 35 spline Detroit Locker - 4.30 gears
Air bag in right rear
Hoosier QT pro - 26 X 11.5
Still using stock shocks and springs so there might be some time there.
I Dump the clutch @ 5500 RPM
Shift at 6700 and RPM drops to about 5200 and so on up thru the gears
Hit the traps in 4th gear at 6800
Oh yea, DA at the time of these runs was about 750 ft and temp was in the high 60's with a bit of a tail wind. Pressure was real good. Track elevation is about 320 ft and hook was good.

Work it out with one change at a time.
My first change would be to ditch the stock shocks and get a set of QA1's (used to be Hal). Getting the shocks dialed in should lower your 60' by 1 to 2 tenths.
As for the T56, when beefed up they can take a lickin'. Some of my best 60' times with the last motor were almost 1.4 seconds flat. A number of guys are in the 1.4 range with the T56 and still running, so they aren't made of glass..... well after you beef em' up a little. I broke my stock tranny, then had it rebuilt with g-force components.

Re: Woo Hoo finally hit 11's
Getting better but like Mindgame said get some Qa1's for the front and ditch the front swaybar first. Most guys who run quick with those 6spds are leaving@ 5,500-6k rpms and side stepping the clutch. Those trannies have high first gears so that is why it takes a real low gear in the rear also like 4.30's 4.56's or 4.71's like 95 Formula runs to 60' well or have a power adder or big power to pull the higher gear. Re: Woo Hoo finally hit 11's
where did you buy your t56 and how much power more do you think it can hold? I am [---]<--this close to selling my m6 for a a4 now that I am building my own 355 turbo. I am in the looking for a good transmission, damn this rebuild is gonna be expensive
btw I had viper shift fork and z06 syncros put in about 3 yrs ago (20,000 miles or so)... I am just so afraid to launch it the way it needs to be launched since I got the 12bolt.

Re: Woo Hoo finally hit 11's
IMO, The weakest point of a stock T56 is the 27 spline output shaft. I snapped one off and twisted numerous slip yoke splines, even with my bolt-on only LT1. The Viper output shaft bumps up the diameter and spline count to 30 or 31, This increase cures the output problem. Others have had input shaft problems but I have never had that problem (knock on wood) All of the other internals on my T56 are stock except for the good shift forks which really aren't loaded buy torque or HP. They're just nice if your banging gears and happen to slightly miss a gate. You can have your T56 "pro-shift" converted by G-Force. I don't believe this necessarily makes anything stronger either, just allows for faster shifting without grinding. I believe that G-Force also offers a different cut helical gearset which is indeed stronger, but noiser. I don't believe anyone is increasing counter shaft or bearing diameters. Call G-Force for actual details. The T56 is a fantastic transmission after the Viper output shaft upgrade. You'll blow up your 12 bolt (multiple times) before you hurt the T56 - Don't ask me how I know

That's rolling.. keep it up.. Gotta love the cecil mod..
great track... I'm w/ what the other's have said.. get some shocks and it'll help get the weight where it need's to be when you let the clutch go at 6K
