wont start after rain!

So within the past month I have noticed after a lot of rain that my car wont start. It has now been 2 days straight that it has rained and my car will crank over and sputter if I give it gas, but still will not start. Sometimes it will pop and just run like crap and then die shortly after. I have absolutley no problems in dry weather so I know the rain has something to do with it... any ideas? I have work tomorrow and its going to be real fun trying to get there if I don't take care of this. Thanks!

are you getting any water leaking onto your intake valley. if you have aleak through your cowl area water will build up in the valley between your valve covers and leak into any poor sealed areas of your intake giving you water in your cylinders.open your hood after rain and check for puddling.

Mine did the exact same thing. Turned out to be my ignition coil. Try putting a drop light right next to the coil and wait 30 minutes before starting it.

When this happened to me I replaced the coil wire and it has been fine ever since. The dealer wanted to replace both the opti and the coil wire. That was ten years ago.
