Won't start after bad waterpump went out.

Won't start after bad waterpump went out.
I have a 93Z that is a race car, so I have limited wiring, but I have a Baker vats bypass.
It won't start, but cranks fine. Occassionally it will try to hit, but never completely fires.
Fuel pressure is 40 and I do hear the fuel pump prime.
Seems to have good spark at plugs and coil.
Injectors have 12volts and pulse to roughly 8volts while cranking.
The car had ran fine until the waterpump broke bad and poored water out the bottom of the pump.
I changed the pump and now it won't start. The only wire I even touched was the coil wire.
The car acts as if the timing is off. It sort of drags and spits at times.
Opti-crap? Or other things I should check.?
Thanks,
James

"Seems to have good spark at plugs and coil."
Buy a spark tester (about $10) and make sure the spark to the plugs can jump a gap of about 3/4". This will tell you if you have GOOD spark. If you don't it's likely the opti got wet. You might get lucky and the opti might dry out and work.
