With your tremendous knowledge you have demonstrated such as blowing a headgasket as soon as your car passes 210 degrees. I doubt it.

I never said anything about blowing a head gasket after 210 degrees. I said if your car goes into the redzone frequently it can definantly be a potential for a blown head gasket. Or are you not familiar with head warping... etc etc. An LT1 motor that has both fans on and doesn't cool it's self back down to the mid point and below... and remains above the 210 mark or when ever the 2nd fan kicks in at.... are potential symptoms of cooling problems. unless you think that second fan turning on means that the engine needs to be hotter. Go read an LT1Manual sometime there's allot of good books out there. BTW the LT1 ignition is pretty crappy... once you go beyond what it was not designed for "high reving". you'll learn that... and you'll also learn that a gutted cat is a joke... hows your back pressure btw?

and also the guy your reffering to from the original post has both his fans wired to be on at all time, and the car still overheated past the midpoint. In 70 degree weather that's still unusual behavior, but since he brought his car like that, what he thinks maybe normal, isn't normal for an LT1. He probably has circulation problems, and the previous owner thought the quick fix was wiring the fans to stay on all the time.

I have none, its great free flowing exhaust gives you more power. back pressure is a myth.
There are several people reving the LT1 ignition over 7 grand. I know someone who revs a HEI style ignition over 8 grand and the LT1 ignition is ages ahead of the HEI ignition. I've gone through all the tuning for the LT1 I know quite well how the fans work and the ignition, I will likely be disassembling the code soon to learn even better how it works. 210 isn't in the redzone its well bellow it, hell 230 isnt even the redzone yet.

Not unusual behavior for a car without an air dam

The guy had an airdam before... he mentioned removing it and losing it.

The car will run hotter without an air dam yes... but not ping you in the red zone. Who said 210 is the redzone?

And kudos to your buddy for having an Opti spark that revs over 9K... tell him I'll sell him my box of totaled opti's for 20 dollars and the magic bean they came with.

And thanks for ruining this guys post. If you wanted to flirt with me you can always PM me.

Over at LS1tech.com this is kind of a popular mod. You might try a search over there.

Not to mention that the push button will get you 100 additional RWHP.

Why not get one of those remote jobbies available on the vettes?
