I have a RK sports gauge pannel, want to put it where the lighter plug is, or centered below the gauges. My friend has one setup on his LS1, but you dont need the key for it to work, u have to flip a switch and then push the button and it starts, i want something a little safer.

Talk about retrofitting: All cars used to have push button starters, but I understand that it was before most of you were conceived----next they will introduce the hand crank starter with the magnito ignition. Can't wait.

Probably before you were conceived as well unless you remember the 30's-40's.

wow... I can't imagine how much of a disaster that will be to wire on an LT1...with it's already crappy ignition system. I can barely get my car to work with the key.... let alone a button... good luck.
