I don't see how it is "riced out". A lot of newer cars are coming with it now. Would be pretty cool on an LT1 car.

I have a RK sports gauge pannel, want to put it where the lighter plug is, or centered below the gauges. My friend has one setup on his LS1, but you dont need the key for it to work, u have to flip a switch and then push the button and it starts, i want something a little safer.

Talk about retrofitting: All cars used to have push button starters, but I understand that it was before most of you were conceived----next they will introduce the hand crank starter with the magnito ignition. Can't wait.

Probably before you were conceived as well unless you remember the 30's-40's.

I'm thinking about getting some running boards for my 97SS. That way I can cover up my lake pipes and get away with em.

wow... I can't imagine how much of a disaster that will be to wire on an LT1...with it's already crappy ignition system. I can barely get my car to work with the key.... let alone a button... good luck.

The LT1s ignition system is far from crappy and a pushbutton start has NOTHING to do with an ignition system. Is there anything you DO know about LT1s?
