Wiring in a Qtec?

Any good sites for information regarding wiring of an electric exhaust cut-out?
Wires are run to the center console but where do I find "Key on" power source?

theres one in the fuse panel to the left of your steering wheel. there's also one that goes to your radio. I just used one of those things w/ a light and a probe til one lit up when i turned on the key..

just did this last week.

run the wire through the drain plug right behind the passenger seat. after you remove the kick panel, you should be able to reach there and grab the wire without ripping the carpet up. run the wire along the carpeting where the kick panel would be but leave room for when u screw the kick panel back on so that u dont hit the wire with a screw. i ran this up under the glove box and behind the console storage under the cd player. i drilled a hole in there and my switch is back in that area. now, for power, remove the knee panel, and get ground by simply loosening one of the bolts in there and tightening it down onto the black wire. for power, stick the red wire into the left side of the radio fuse (top left, blue). make sure to keep the positive end wrapped in electrical taped so you dont cause any shorts while running the wire.

good luck!

When I did mine, I used the hot wire that would be for the electric windows if mine had it. So if you don't have power windows I would use that one. If not, it will still be simple to find a power wire in the fuse block. Just remove the bolt that holds your fuse block in. Get a test light and turn the car to the ACC postion. Then all you have to do is stick the test light in the back of the fuse block. Jump around until you find one that triggers the test light. Once you're sure that it will only work with the key on find the power wire and splice into it. If you have any other questions drop me a line at rich_z28@hotmail.com or on AIM. Here is a pic where mounted my toggle switch just under the cigarette lighter. I had just siliconed the plastic cover back on, so thats what the orange stuff is. I just used a razor blade to remove it after it had setup.
