I have been reading all the LTCC threads for the past 5 hours and am dead, i dindt find too much on wiring, i found a few confused people with 96/97 cars. I will be doing my install THIS SATURDAY
and need to know how to set it all up and what wires go where and with what color. i know it needs to be grounded well. Please help me out with the schematics... again it is a 1996 Formula, thanks alot guy. after reading all the bad crap that has went down with people and the ltcc i have a new load of laundry to do (i wish the people who have had success would post more so the good to bad result ratio would be better looking, because there has to be alot of people who have had success that just dont mention it on the board)

My LTCC set up works AWESOME had it about 4 years.
My friend also had great success with his until he switched to a LS1.
If you could be more specific with your questions , I'll try to help out.

took old wires, coil, and icm off last night in preparation for the install.....

1) Ok this bad girl obviously goes into the ltcc unit

2) Where do these wires go? yellow? White? 2 pink? ( a few pics of them)



3) i would imagine this is one of the 8 infamous grounds that need to be gounded the crap out of (each one coming of the coil connectors)

4)Where do these 2 plugs go? a grey one and a black one that looks similar to the coil plugs. (a few pics of them)

 

and now on to mounting issues and other things (pics included for fun)
5) i have seen a lot of issues witht he box and the altenator interferring, should i mount the box towards the rear of the intake?


6) i have also read issues with the wires getting interferance, should i keep it with the original design of mounting on top of the VS's? i have the sun spec brackets that are designed very nicely to fit on the VC's (beauty is not a requisite for me)



7) how do i set the rev limit on the box?

8) where should my retard be set at? at zero? my mods are in my sig, i have NO NITROUS.

i actually have a guy coming over from the board, we are goign to tackle this bad beast!!!! i just want to make sure everythign is correct, and yes i would appreciate very much a call to explain how you did it and how i need to do it. -yellow: is for nitrious
-white: is ground, goes w/ a yellowish w/ a black strip wire
-pink's: get connected together then get connected to the pink (depends on the year) wire from the coil.

-Connect to the opti connecter on the pass. side of the intake manifold. By the evap.

-I mounted mine by the fuss box, I'll show ya sat.

-Not sure about the taylor's, but that's why I got the magnacores.

i have a feeling this is going to be a good install... always good to have another fbody owner with ya!

 

12v power pink I believe.
Looks like your in good shape.
Taylors work fine just test each wire after you assemble.
Be sure to check the pinouts on your harness vs the schematic
with the instructions TRUST ME on this one. Check it before you get
started.
I mounted the box on the LH side firewall behind the booster.

 

sorry for bringing this back but can i just ground the white one inside of connecting it to the yellow wire? I'm having problems with my install and I belive its because I dont know if I have that white wire on the right place... Thanks for any info.

 

what year do you have check for the wiring that loops back from the icm to the coil. It's not that one and one should be black that's a ground so it's not that one there should only be one or two wires left depending on what year you have. So those are your only options for the white wire.

 

it's a 97 and I have it on the white wire. Dont know what to do I got a tread started about it on here hope I fix it.

 

Thanks for the info killin. I have been thinkg about geting a LTCC. Quik question, Do you guys know if this will work with a Dig 6+ box?
