Wiring Issues After Teardown Please Help
I HAD MY 97 AUTOMATIC z APART FOR EXHAUST OPTI PAN GASKET YOU NAME IT GOT IT ALL BACK TOGETHER WENT TO FIRE IT AND WHEN YOU HOOK THE SECOND TERMINAL ON THE BATTERY THE STARTER ENGAGES AND TURNS OVER EVEN WITH THE KEY OFF? I HAVE THE BIG POWER AND PURPLE SECONDARY WIRE TO THE STARTER NO OTHERS. I DID MOVE THE GROUND WIRE THAT COMES IN THAT BUNDLE OF WIRES UP TO THE FENDER WHERE ALL THE OTHER GROUNDS ARE RATHER THAN ON THE BLOCK LIKE IT USED TO BE. PLEASE HELP!!!
Re: Wiring Issues After Teardown Please Help
Pull the purple wire off the starter solenoid and connect the battery cable. See if the starter doesn,t turn over then. Now measure the voltage at the purple wire to ground. Now figure out why it's got 12 volts on it.Oh yeah, just incase it does turn even with the purple off, see if the large cable is touching the small solenoid terminal.
