Wiring harness fitments

I bought a 97 Trans Am LT1 T56. A mouse got into the harness and chewed up the wiring. I am looking now to replace the entire thing. I know that 96-97 are an OBD2 harness and the 94-95 are OBD1. It’s likely going to be hard for me to find a harness let alone a 96-97 exactly. Will a 94-95 harness fit my 97 without any issues?

Re: Wiring harness fitments

No, it will be different because of the OBD change. Therefore the earlier harness will lack all of the connections and because of the year difference, there would some circuits that are wired differently. Best bet is to find a 96-97 harness.
