Wiring a fan to the TPS. How-to?

I want to wire a 12v fan to the TPS, and increase/decrease speeds as the throttle goes up and down, 100% at WOT. What would be the correct way of doing so be? Thanks

You talking about the cooling fans or you trying to engineer some kind of fan in the intake system? Either of those two and to be honest, its not worth your time unless I am completely confused to the purpose.

But to answer your question you would have to wire in voltage regulator that would be able to translate the signal from the TPS into a 0-12v value. I have never heard of anyone doing such a thing.

What are you trying to do?..beyond your obvious posted question.

You need the coolant fans more at idle (0% TPP) than you do at high speed/high throttle openings on the freeway.

Pointless idea with no value or merit, unfortunately.

This is why.
No flaming on the electric turbo doesnt do anyhting...it has a money back garentee in 7 days (on ebay) and will get it to a dyno the day of recieving. Will be ordering when my items sell on ebay.
Looks like it could work, since its in a real turbo with the actual internals still intact too.

What other way would be to create a fan going with throttle responce

Actually, its a real 1/2 of a turbo. Missing the exhaust turbine.

Those types of things have been around for years. Seems to me if one of them actually worked, there would be posts about it.

You'd need an electronic circuit that samples the 0-5v TPS signal and PWM's the motor accordingly. I could make you such a thing, even though it's a waste and won't make any power... a 3/4hp electric motor simply cannot add power to a V8.

Read an artical in hot rod mag where they used 2 craftsman leaf blowers and it did make some power.

By all means post back before/after dyno results and pictures of the install. I really want to see how this turns out.

That's pretty funny. Looks like they added about 20hp, but those blowers are probably like 5hp.

States 3psi at 12v an 6 at 24v. I can do 24v if needed. I want that sts turbo on ebay I listed really bad though...hmmm. is the sts hard to install? I have a magnaflow exhaust with a highflow hooker muffler.

Leaf blowers make power... add some nitrous and they really pump it up.

A 120V "appliance" is going to make a lot more power/move a lot more air pulling 10 amps than a 12V (or 24V) circuit pulling 10amps. And, although it seems to be disputed by some, your engine will have to work harder to turn the alternator to produce the power for the electric motor.
