windows rolling!

hey guys. a while ago someone posted about using some kind of lubricant or something on the black weather stripping type material on his windows to make them slide faster and smoother. i forgot who posted but he said he just replaced the passenger one then tried it and it made it fast and smooth and he did his driver one also and it was even smoother. anyways what is it that you used and where can i get it! also for any of you guys who would know. on both my windows, drivers and passengers i have this nasty film type layer of crap on my window tint, the guy that had it b4 me didnt smoke im pretty sure but its nasty and crusty and when i try to clean it with anything it smears. i can use my fingernails and try to like scrape it off and it comes off but very little and its kind of flaky and shiny. do any of you all know what it is and stuff cuz also it makes a squeaking sound when i roll up and down the windows caused by this layer of crud. i think thats one reason they make my windows roll slow. i dont know what to use to get it off help!! i ahte it!

Re: windows rolling!

He used Dielectric grease, but I would suggest a spray on type silicone. Same result less mess.
