Will this fuel pump work in a 96 t/a???

also when i turn the car off and turn the key all the way back.....it makes like a whineing sound like the fuel pump does this mean that the pump is on its way out??

 

Mine does the same thing, so I would like to also know.

 

I beleive the whining you guys are talking about is actually the electric AIR PUMP. Mine does the same thing. For some reason it does that when turned off. Emission garbage anyway!

it is normal for your pump to whine enough to be heard, but not necessarily really loud. If its too loud it could be going out.

There is no way I would pay $45 for a used fuel pump for these cars...your taking a crap shoot that that pump is any better than the one YOUR removing. Take my advice and either buy the factory replacement or buy a Walboro and put that in there.
