Will a set of heads off a 1996 Lt1 fit a 93 Lt1. i heard they wont bc they r "gen two lt1" but im not sure. thanks, Jason.

 

93-97 are all the same...They will fit.

 

Late 96 and 97 castings are "lighter" and cannot be ported out as much as, say, a 94 head. They will fit all late model lt1's.
I have heard the heads are lighter from a number of sources such as Lloyd Elliot and TPIS to name a few.
