Do I need to thermal wrap A/C pipe near header??

i'm getting close to firing up my 383 stroker for the first time. my question is this. on the driver's side headers, after the first bend in the headers coming off the exhaust manifold, there is a little metal pipe from the A/C system about a half inch from one of the header pipes. my mechanic suggested that i get some of that thermal wrap stuff to wrap the A/C pipe. i wasn't able to find any of that stuff locally and may have to order some. am i ok to go ahead with it the way it is since my pacesetter LT's are cermamic coated? will the ceramic coating keep things cool enough so that the A/C tube won't be in any danger?

thanks in advance for any prompt replies as tomorrow or friday may be the big day!
