Yes.

Of course though there are many other variables, but for the most part yes.

It will work fine but every time you floor it that might be your last. It belongs on a built motor. You have to rev it high to see all the power it can make.

Re: Will A Stock Bottom End Hold?????????

My motor should be together ere pretty shortly its an LE3 setup on a fresh stock bottome end (accept speed pro forged pistons). I Spoke to many and their advice was to make sure its a good balance job on the rotating assy and to use ARP studs in the bottom end. If you do this you will be fine. If you are just gonna toss the LE3 setup onto a high mileage motor then its only a matter of time i would imagine. Very good oil pressure is a must!

A stock bottom end in reasonably good condition, without noticlable blow-by and with good oil pressure; will handle to 6500rpm in most situations. (Nothing is ever completely predictable.)

The LE3 heads are actually better than that limit, but you'll be able to get some use out of them.

Your big problem is that you'll still be making power at the point when you should upshift or let up on the throttle. It'll take some willpower to do the right thing, and more than a little focus.

You may still blow then engine up long before 6000rpm. You never know.

As long as you are comfortable with the idea that you could theoretically drive over your crank at any time, then go for it.

If you aren't you need a new hobby anyway.

You might reconsider the LE3 choice unless you plan to do 4.10s and all the other stuff necessary to make the package work. 6800 is probably not the thing to be doing regularly with a used stock bottom end. How about an LE1? or a LE2/1 combination (custom) head/cam?
