Will the SLP DS LOOP work with a 3.5" DS?

Will the SLP DS LOOP work with a 3.5" DS?
I have the DS lop and don't want to buy a shaft that is too big. It looks like a 3.5 inch would work, but I would like to find out if anyone else has done it before.
