will relocating the maf help performance?

I have seen the maf reloc. on the procharger kits, but I was wondering if it will help a n/a car as well, by getting a reading from cooler air. thanks

The MAF measures the "mass" air flow... pounds/minute (or grams/second). It has an internal temperature measurement, and heats a small sample of the air to a temperature a fixed number of degrees above that temperature, allowing it to calculate the mass flow based on the power required to heat the air, and the specific heat of air.

Given the way it works, it makes no difference where it is located. The measurement will not be affected by air temperature or pressure, since it is measuring "mass" (~weight) rate of flow.
