what are the differences in these 2 grinds of XE?

224 / 230, .502 / .510 112 LSA

224 / 236, .502 / .520 114 LSA

will it make the difference between passing emissions and not?
how does this affect power and range of power?

Thanks

the 224/236 is considered a nitrous cam, it is designed for compressed intake air so it doesnt need a large intake duration. 224/230 XL would be better for NA applications.

wait a sec, im confused now.

seeing it is 236 instead of 230 and 114 instead of 112, doesnt that mean it has a longer intake duration and more exhaust?

i thought this would make it have more top end power and more exhaust.

please correct me if im wrong.

Well I'm not very good with cams but I think I'm getting all the #'s figured out. On the 224/236 @114LSA, the 114 means that the Intake and Exhaust lobes are further apart, meaning the Intake closes sooner in relation to teh exhaust vs the 112LSA. This is because on NA motors, no air is forced in and opening the exhaust sooner in relation to the Intake allows the exhaust to "pull" in more air. Which is not needed on forced induction or N2O. Kinda the same way Equal length headers get the exhaust pulses to line up pull eachother out.

However this is just my vague understanding that I "think" is right. Please feel free to correct me if I'm wrong
