Will not having O2 sensors hooked up make car miss?

Im still working on this miss that is in my car.I installed a set of Jet Hot LT's and havent hooked the O2 sensors up.I orderd the simulators so i dont have to hook the O2's up.Do you think this will help. The cars smells really rich.I hope this fixes it...the miss is from idle-2200 and if you put a load on....??Any suggestions.

it could have been rich enough to foul a plug or two.
the simulators are only for the back o2s you still have to use the front ones.

I would think the car would run like crap. The PCM would not know how much fuel to add. If the fuel injectors do not deliver the exact amount of fuel expected (variations due to age or manufacturing) I would assume the PCM would have no idea and could not make any corrections. Car could run either too rich or too lean. Unless for some reason the baseline Fuel Mixture was dead on.

Ya it does run like crap.I've replaced all 8 plugs so I dont believe its the plugs. It will clear out around 3000 but if you smash it...it will do it again.I sure wish i could figure out the problem..what else can I do?What can I hook up to see if anything is wrong?I dont know anything about the scanmaster things...help me out please...Maybe the simulators will fix the problem...i dont know.

you can run the car withuot o2s it wont hurt a thing but you will never hit power enrichment mode which is the tables the pcm uses for wot fuel mixture. the car will stay in open loop all the time.

and also you cant use the o2 sims for the o2s in the header colector becuase the same will happen as i said above. you have to have the front o2s on the 96 and 97 cars we can use the o2s sims but only on the back two o2s.

your car will use the same fueling tables for driving around as it does for inatial startup.
