When you go with Brian programing you really want the shift firmer to help you'r 4L60E last longer cause really what killes our 4L60E? Heat and where does the heat comes from? Friction from the cluches so when you increas the line pressure will make it shift faster and harder which's reducing the friction time between the cluches and that reduses the heat which it the most enemy for the auto tranneys.

Later.

Unless you have money to rebuild the tranny, I would leave it. As far as the "power tune" I dont think its worth your money/time. You may pick up 5hp im guessing. With your current mods there really isn't much to gain off of just tunning. Dont get me wrong, once you get a cam in there and some other goodies, a tune does help a LOT! Judging from track times and mph, my tunning after the hotcam install was worth about 30hp! And the car ran much better. Bryan is a great guy so keep him in mind but as of now I dont think its worth it.

he just has intake and exhaust.... 11hp from nothing is a damn good increase to me. generally people get their cars tuned when they get a cam, or heads, or both... your MAF can compensate for most changes, so i'm suprised he got even that much.

mos tranny failures occur in between gears.. the reason cars shift softer (or at least the ones ive owned) is because the tranny is actually in two gears at once, that increases heat which leads to quicker failure
