It will bolt right up, but will not clear some F-body headers. I have a pair of SLP 94-95 single cat style headers in the garage that I mocked up, and they did NOT clear the LT4 starter. My new Hooker LT's fit fine.

Re: Will an LT4 starter bolt directly up to an LT1
Maybe yours was different, my inner primary was hitting one of the long thru bolts on the starter that held the half together. I just went outside and mocked it up again just to be sure I wasn't talking out of my ***, and sure enough, it's hitting- barely, but hitting.
If I were inclined to make it fit, I'd probably just clearance that part of the primary with a hammer...... But I don't like doing stuff like it.

I'm accually not sure of the advantage, I have a chance to buy one local, but I don't want to get stuck with it if it doesn't fit with my FLP long tubes.
