Will LS1 o2 sensor work on LT1?

Well I know that the plugs are different but I took a LS1 o2 sensor and cut the wires and spliced a LT1 plug on it to make it work.....Did I make a mistake by cutting it or is it alright? Or should I go get another O2 sensor that is made for the car?

Don't know but you can do a search for Bosch sensors at any of the replacement parts places online and see if they (LT vs LS) have the same part number or not. Just a thought.

I know the part numbers are different....they have to be because of the shape of the plug....the LS1 is more retangle and the LT1 is more square but the wires on the sensor are the same color.....I took a LS1 o2 sensor and cut the plug off of it....and used connectors to fasten the old plug off of the old LT1 o2 sensor....I heard recently that cutting the wires and connecting them like i did is a no no...but i was just trying to find out if some could confirm that.....The car is having problems and i was trying to locate exactly what is the problem.....thanks anyways though
