Will I see any gains going to AS&M from BBK

I found a set local at a good price, I was curious if any thought I might see any decent gains going to AS&M midlengths from my current BBK shorties, mods are in the sig.

You will gain in the upper rpms-the AS&M have 1 3/4 primaries and are a mid-length header-I noticed a difference( used to have Edelbrocks)

How is the plug access on the AS&M's, i know that number 7 sucks on the bbk's, you have to atleast loosen the header enough to move it a little to get to it.

Plug access sucks with AS@M headers also, but with your mods, you should see some gains switching to a 1 3/4 mid lenght AS@M.

You're talking about taking a 1 5/8 shortie and moving up to one of the proven best performing 1 3/4 mid length headers? yeah, you'll see/feel a gain. I'd say a bit over 5 hp too.

The only way you're gonna get great plug access is my totally removing the headers/manifolds....anything else you have a problem.

With a 306 and ported heads, going from 1 5/8" shorties to 1 3/4" mid-lengths.. if it were me, I believe I'd go for it. Especially if I was getting a deal on them!
