When I got my best it was 60 and somewhat humid and an elevation of 1200'. I am sure if it was in the low 50s or high 40s I would have gotten into the 11s.

Back on topic: I am sure that if you hook up you should be able to break into the high 12s.

A CC306 isn't close to the hot cam. Could he nail a FREAK time of 12.9 once...sure...if conditions were right...but not everytime. To say a car will run in the 12's is to say it'll do it all the time. Just because the car over-achieved ONCE...doesn't mean it's a steady 12 second car. It's like banging Brittney Spears...maybe you could do it once if the conditions were right...but it wouldn't happen again!

My mods compliment my motor nicely. My supercharger compliments my air flow into the motor

This all depends on weather, altitude, and driving, but I got the times in my sig before the trans was redone, and ony ran a couple times after it was rebuilt and those runs I ran into the OBD1 stall wall (not shifting into 2nd because of the high stall converter) and ran a 13.2 @ 102. I got the computer fixed after the local tracks closed for the season but I am hoping to hit 12's on my next trip out. With similar set-up to the guy who started this thread, there are guys around here deep into 12's and some extreeme cases of them hitting 11's with tires, a little more stall, and gears

A car with 1.6rr, hot cam, a tune, etc and a little traction, should run 12's all day. It would definatly not be a freak. I mean come on man. So is a 2002 z28 6-speed with a lid a cutout that runs 12's a FREAK? I think not. The hot cam is a proven performer, 12s are a not big deal with the hot cam. So I guess by your standard my car is a SUPER FREAK. The best time I ran I had the absoult worst pressed bent y-pipe that was only 2 inchs in dia., on eldecraps shorties to boot. In fact the point at which both parts of the Y came together were at a 90 degree angle, like a T pipe. This was untuned with a baby cam, cc304, a lowered car and it went 13.0 @ 106. Oh did I mention it back it up with many 13.2s on 245 street tires. Now I have a tune, a bigger TB, relocation brackets, air bag, new hooker 2055 headers w/ a kick *** y-pipe (two 2 1/2 inch pipes in to a single 3 inch, all manderal bends) and by the time the track open some ET street. If it does not go consistent 12s I will be in shock. I think a best of 12.7 is well with in reach, all without a stall. With a stall times would be well in to the 12s. So yes with a little tire or with decent traction, 12s should be a no brainer. Just my 2 pennies. Later

The Hott cam is pretty small in comparisson to some that are streetable , and it all depends upon what you can stand.

On a 350 I have run the CC305 w/1.6s with a 3000 stall and the stall was more an annoyance than the cam,but the stall was still very very streetable.

The CC305 is another proven streetable cam than can make good power.

Question Re: will i run 12s with these mods

Why was the stall an annoyance?

Re: will i run 12s with these mods

It really wasnt an annoyance I just noticed it. on normal driving it made the throttle a little squishy down low, exactly as it should have.

The reason I said it was more of an annoyance is that I noticed it there, the CC305 I had was hardly discernable except for the extra rumble in the exhaust (and the power it made).
