Will I need a Y-pipe?

My car is a 96 and has the stock exhaust on it. Thanks for your help!

If you get a Y-pipe it will more than likely void your warranty anyway.

Sorry guys.... man it's been a long day already! I'm putting on a new exhaust and am wondering if I will need to replace the Y-pipe. That is my question. Sorry about the confussion!

Nope, you definitely won't need a Y pipe, I still have the stock Y pipe on my car with the Borla Cat back and edelbrock headers....I need to get a Y pipe soon though so it will flow better.....but you will not need a Y-pipe until you get headers or longtubes to eliminate the pipe all together
