Go back and read my post again.
I think with modest power levels you'll be alright with a lowered car as long as you have the appropriate supporting suspension pieces..
HERE are some various spring rates so you can get a general idea of what to expect.
Again, in terms of drag launching stiffer is bad and lower is bad.
For corner carving then lower is good and so is stiffer..
I personally think the SLP level 1 springs are a good compromise between two extremes.. but that's just me.
Shoebox is right on with the heating business.. NOT A GOOD IDEA.. also if you decide to cut your springs do NOT do it with a torch. Use a hacksaw.
