auto and i wont be running a stall for maybe 4-5 months after the swap. It will probably be a dog off the line.

not to put you down, but half of the stuff listed on there will not give you major horse power gaing, or any horse power gain for that matter... aside from the cam and the headers, you won't get much gains from the other stuff. It can probably get you 350 at the flywheel, but i don't think that would get you 350 at the rear wheels. Also because your S10 is not a V8, right?

340-345 would be my guess. You have the 7.5 or the bigger 8.5 rear? The blazer rear will eat a little more HP, but is well worth the strength IMO.

Anyways, key is in the tuning!

With that cam he's probably looking at a good solid 350 at the wheels, maybe a few more. Give the heads a good, quality port job and you'll probably hit 400 at the wheels.

Yea i know some of the stuff i listed wont do much but i just listed them to give you guys an idea of my setup. Anyways i am hoping for 340-350 at the wheels with a good tune.

Also will the truck and motor run like poo without a stall?

*EDIT* the truck has the 7.5 rear

It will definately run better with a stall, you might get a little surging at idle and/or the truck may try to run through the brakes without a stall.

Oh, if you want a halfway decent rear for that truck, find a rearend out of a 4x4 blazer and stick it under there. It'll be a little bit wider than what you have, but you probably won't hook up enough to break it anyway.

yea i plan on getting a 8.5 out of a ZR2 or out of a GN but is 350 out of the question here? Madwolf made 346 i believe with this same cam.

Honestly, even if you only make 300 to the wheels, you aren't going to have enough traction anyways. What's the big deal about 350 at the wheels?

Well, if it's anything like the S10 I had, it won't have traction.

I had a built 406/700R4 in an 84 S10. If I got on it, the rear tires would just spin instead of getting any bite so the rearend never got a big enough shock to break it.

well one thing is that this truck will never see the drag strip. Mostly the 350 HP is for bragging rights and some street racing. Later on down the road i will be getting a beefy 4 link out back with a 8.5 rear so i can beef the motor up some so that the rear can handle it.
