Will normal SBC lifters work in an LT1? Specifically, hydraulic rollers?

Hydrolic roller lifters meant for a roller lifter block will work on a LT1, in this respect it was just like any other smallblock 87 up to but not including LS1. I don't think "retrofit" roller lifters meant for a flat tappet block will work.

 

the comp 875-16(r lifter) will work with any small block including the ls1 that came equiped with a hydr roller you can used the linked lifters used on engines that came with a tapet cam but you will problly have to clearence the lifter bore for the link
