i put a lil bit of octane booster (i think 2 points) to see if i have any knock i cant hear, and car actually ran better (kept up with my roommate's car better than before the booster) so i got some octane booster, only 7 points this time... think cc306 likes more octane?

or am i just getting knock thats going away with the booster lol

 

Octane boosters will not give you 7 points. Do a search and you'll see why. You may be running 93.5 now, but not 100 octane.

It's possible that the octane booster is helping....but not likely. Like NOMAD said, limited usefulness.

In reality, a beefier cam like the CC306 actually decreases dynamic compression ratio vs. a stock cam, thereby reducing the need for more octane. However, thinner head gaskets, milled heads, different pistons (smaller dish or reliefs), and too much advance can all drive the need for more octane back up.

 

What Josh said. You need to put a scanner on your car and see if you have knock retard.
