will this be the cause of my miss? pic inside

im doing an opti install because i thought it was that until i saw my coil.
do you think i should forgett about the opti and just change the coil?

how do you get those metalic boots out of the wire boot ?

well the whole point is that its got a white thing all over like corrosion. and a bit of rust. can that cause my miss at high rpms?

Could very well be. As cheap as coils are, might as well replace it AND the coil wire. Be sure to use dielectric grease

Any corrosion found on spark plug wire ends or any terminals should be considered a suspect for poor performance. Repair or replace the offending parts.

yeah, thats it. if a cyl is misfiring, thats the first thing I look for is corrosion on the coil. its very common and will def. cause poor spark and misfires. repl. coil and wire, and use dielectric grease as suggested on here. def. hold off on the opti till you try this to see if thats the only prob..
