Will a car even turn over if the PCM is dead? Trying to make sure I don't have other problems... Car won't even turn over, just hear a click.

I fried my PCM on a botched PCM download. It would start and then die, no matter what. I ended up getting Andrew from AKMcables to send me a new PCM and it started right up. If it is just clicking, I would check your battery connections and your charge. You may want to also check your VATS. Good luck,

Kyle

Yes, it will turn over all day but never fire. Sounds like a low battery or dead starter. Try jumping it. If it fires up, it's your battery. If not, look at your starter and all connections. This is usually an easy fix.

Could also be a bad cell in the battery, its happened to me twiced. If the jump doesn't get it, you could have the battery tested (free service at most parts stores) just to be safe because a bad cell will keep it from starting from a jump too, nothing's worse than spending money on something you didn't really need not to mention the battery is a whole lot easier to take out than a starter is.

Pretty sure its just a bad connection at the battery and I KNOW I have a dead PCM.
