Will a bad EVAP cause a no start

Is there anything in the EVAP system that would cause a 93 lt1 not to start?

Theres no codes either

I wouldnt think so. My evap is throwing codes, but it always starts right up. I just wanna rip that SHlT off.

Some people say it has caused their hard-start condition. I don't know for sure about this, but I guess it's something to do with pressure? The test was supposedly unscrewing the gas cap when you try to start. The fix was new evap or drill a little hole in the cap.
