Thumbs up

Got mine in as well today. Just like you said the TCS light stays on (even if I had TCS in the ar the light would be on cause I'd never use it...LOL) and the seat belt light is on. It actully does get a bit dimmer when the seat belt is buckled, oh well. My oil pressre gauge is a little jumpy as well but that's cool. It looks way better. I know have 97 gauges, HVAC gauges (lighted ***** if you don't have them) and center consol. All of which are way better than the 94 stuff.

I have a 97 digital cluster in my 94. Works fine the only problem you'll encounter is the seatbelt light, for some reason it will never fully go away. Once buckled the light will just dim instead of completely fade away but all you have to do is pull the dummy light out.

How did you pull the dummy light?

Yea They're built on to the circuit board. I thought about taking some cutters and clipping the lights off but didn't know what that might do

The 98+ ones won't work in the LT1 cars. The gauges don't work right. A few guys allready tride it.

Damn that sucks. Gm always has to make things so complicated. What can possibly be different in the cluster from a 96, 97 to a later model? Besides the digital odometer of course.

When i pick up my cluster I'm going to put tape around the bulbs that turn on (my airbag light because of the racing wheel, the seatbelt and maybe the tcs).

Actually, I would suggest taking the cluster apart and placing the tape on the back of the guages themselves. I thought about putting the tape on the lights but was worried about the heat it would generate. When I separated the black cluster from the main housing, I noticed that there were other places that blubs/guages could have been placed and that there was actually tape from the factory covering them up.

Interesting...I guess when I get my cluster I'll just tape the back.
