Will a 700R4 that was in a 77 350 truck fit up to my LT1.

My buddy has a built 700r4 and it needs a home, and my 4l60e is going out, so I wondered if the tranny that used to be bolted up to the 77 350 would bolt to my 350.

THanks,
James

it has a converter and all too.

They had 700r4's back in '77? Wow, if so I'm impressed. I thought everythign was still using th350s/400 or euqivalents (3 speeds) at that point.

Anyways, it shoudl bolt up I believe. You will probably have to repogram your computer though, seeing how the new tranny wont be computer controlled.

You will need a Camaro tailshaft and a manual valve body...

so how much is a manual valve body and a camaro tailshaft?

plus, how much for the tune, and is it needed?

i think it had "drive" when it was hooked up to the truck, so why the manual valve body.
