Will this 7 qt. oil pan work?

This is a 7 qt, 86+ passenger side dipstick oil pan, meaning it should fit an LT1, correct? Anyone know if it will clear a f-body K member?

Most rear sump pans will work fine, the place where alot have fittiment problems is with kick-out sides (hit headers) and wide fronts (hit K-member).

Damn, that's cheap, and very similar to my Milodon that cost over $200.

from the looks of it, it is a stock pan that somebody is modifying, so im assuming if it has baffles they are no more than what would be found on a stock pan, but for $70 shipped, im gonna buy one and see.

It's black.

I hope your header/pan clearance isn't as close as mine is.

So, i got this pan on my car this weekend, heres my take...

very thick, well made pan. has one trap door baffle for decel. and regular side baffeling in the deep part of the pan.

pickup is 5/8" size, so i had to go with the high volume pump, and the tabs on the pickup that bolt to the oil pump did not line up, i had to "tweak" them. the pickup also did not fit snugly into the pump, i had to run a full weld around the pickup to ensure it sealed.

but the pan fits great, all the holes line up well, it seels well, which i hear the milodon pans do not. clears my stock k member with plenty of room, plenty of clearence around me downpipes, starter, and oil filter. as far as ground clearence, its dead even with my stock k member, so SYA bars may be necesarry for anyone running this pan doing wheel stands...lol

but for $80 shipped to my door, ide say its one of the best buys ive made on this car!

most circle track places make a kit that you weld on to a stock pan. You got a good deal on that, I think it will work nicley for you. looks like a winner

EDIT: they had a chrome one for $80 shipped...So I have one now too

Good to know. When I built mine I couldn't find a for sure answer and went with my Canton pan. The quality is great, but an extra $200 on my build would have been nice.
