Will a 40LB speaker box hurt my track times?

Will a 40LB speaker box hurt my track times?

will it? i weigh 155 and i have a speaker box in the back but no tire and jack... think that box wil hurt my track times? im going tonight..

less weight the better....only thing it MIGHT help is traction out of the hole...the rest of the time it will be slowing you down.

If the box is closer to 40 lbs. the lack of a spare tire and jack will most likely offset the new weight and you won't be able to tell a difference.

Don't know about your times, but it will most likely pemanently damage your hearing.

If you haven't already damaged your hearing, you can probably look forward to buying a hearing aide some time in the future. But so many will be needing the aides that I'm sure they will be improved to the point that they may even be implanted where you can't even see them.

On your setup, removing 40# would reduce your ET by 0.042 seconds, and increase your trap speeds by 0.38 MPH, according to the calculators.

Thats what i was looking for.. lol.. didnt know if it was possible.. a few of my friends said to take it out, thats why i wanted to ask you guys and see if it was worth taking out.. Kind of a dumb question, i have seen worse though! Thanks..

LEAVE IT IN!!!

last time i was at the track i had mine in and halfway through took it out and cut worse 60' times and worse ETs. it sounds weird, but i came out of the hole better with it in!

i have the spare and jack removed too.
