i run a 3 inch true dual setup. i think it hurts a little down low on motor, but it opens the car up very good up top, and it's VERY helpful on nitrous

I went from 13.8s to 13.4s with Hooker LTs and 3 inch true duals without a crossover.
I wouldn,t say it hurt it.

Did you have the headers before the trueduels, becuse I have seen 4 tenths gain with shorty headers only, just curious.

P.s. IMO, if your making 330rwhp YOU DONT NEED TRUE DUELS, its a waste of time and money. unless you want to be different or making huge power and your 4in mufflex isint cutting it anymore

Waste of money if you arent planning on making over 450hp.

I didnt loose anything going with 3" true duals, I actually gained hp over a 3" catback. It really helped to let the engine breath at 6000+rpm.

still a waste of money if all you put in it was 3 bills? decent catbacks start at $300 and go up. I got my complete 3" dual setup all custom made and welded for $300.

Re: will a 3" True Dual setup hurt?

Is everyone basing these claims on true mandrel bent systems or on crimp/bend systems? I'm debating the same, have no exhaust whatsoever right now and don't know to go w/ single or true dual, weld my own w/ mandrel bent pieces or just get muffler shop to bend my system to save aggravation...

Re: will a 3" True Dual setup hurt?

my exhaust was bent using a crimp/bend (not sure if thats what its called but i know its not mandrel bent) but how much of the 3" diameter is really lost, especially with 3" piping?

id have a local shop do the bending for you. this way you get exactly what you want and youll know itll fit...buying pre-mendrel bent pieces will always leave question as to whether or not theyll fit well.

i made my duals, well a friend did.
i bought 2 90 degree bends, a few lenghts of strait pipe, and an h pipe
that and the bullets probably cost me a littler over 100

I had $500 worth of catback exhaust and I cut it off, then sold it. Then paid $480 for a custom set of true duals that took my exhaust guy 5hrs solid to fabricate.

It dosn't matter what you paid to get it done. Too big is too big. The engine dosn't flow enough CFM to require the dual 3". You'd be good with dual 2.5" to 450ish RWHP. I don't understand why people get something too big for their needs just so they can brag about owning it. I know someone with AS&M and a Borla that runs 10.90 on the motor and high 9s on nitrous. Single 3" can't be all that bad.

That statement dosn't say how much the duals helped or hurt you. LTs are usually worth 3-4 1/10s.

Is it crimp bend or mandrel bent piping? does he run full exhaust when making the passes?
